YOGA

Yoga at SEEK is purpose-driven movement derived from traditional yoga practices. Our vibrant classes incorporate vinyasa (breath to movement yoga) with bodyweight strength and stability work, and targeted mobility practices. With Flow and Restore variations, each class is designed to compliment your daily activities and active pursuits in a specific way. We practice yoga to improve how and why you move throughout your day so you can operate with more flexibility, endurance, and balance, and less pain, stress, and injury.

Class descriptions

 

FLOW I

 

This class is designed to get your whole body moving well and feeling good. You will gradually build heat and improve mobility through steady movement and breath. Find stability, space, and ease through consistent thoughtful sequences that are accessible to all levels. 

 

FLOW II

 

This class incorporates bodyweight strength and stability work and more rapid flowing movement to create an energizing and cathartic experience. Expect to be challenged and break a good sweat before you drop into well-deserved deep stretching at the end of each class. Level II classes offer a more challenging yoga experience, involve more complex movements and poses, and are designed for people with more advanced yoga experience.

 

BREATH + MOBILITY

 

In this class we’ll explore in-depth breathwork exercises paired with mobility exercises and active stretching to facilitate functional movement patterns in the body. You can expect deep engagement and strong sensation throughout this class followed by breathwork to seal the practice and soothe your nervous system. A powerful pairing to your other practices at SEEK, this class will be deeply informative and healing for the body and mind.

 

RESTORE

 

Restore class variations are offered weekly and often vary by season to offer targeted release for seasonal sports. Look for variations including; Myofascial, Deep Stretching for Summer/Winter Athletes and more on our seasonally rotating schedule. 

 

FLOW + RESTORE

 

This special blend of our Flow and Restore class formats is an impactful way to get both active movement and restorative deep stretching in one practice. We use the contrast of the two styles to shock your system into focus and presence so that you can gain more benefit from each. You’ll start with 30 minutes of our breath-to-movement flow-style practice to help you release the jitters of your day and tap into the power of your physical body. Then you’ll drop into 30 minutes of deep stretching with longer held poses and an opportunity to truly rest. This class ends with a longer savasana than most, with 5 minutes of stillness, breath, and meditation time for you to be here with you.

 

THE FIX

 

This is the antidote to your daily stresses and weekly woes. Like happy hour for your body and mind, this class is a lighthearted version of our other flow classes. The good vibes, good beats, and a sweaty flow will fix just about anything. Come prepared for high-energy moments, an up-beat playlist (if you're looking for quiet yoga tunes, this is not your class), some deep stretching and nothing too “heady”. The fix is where you can check the f*** out and just treat yourself because you deserve it!
